OH…………Canada!

He looked absolutely stunning and as Leanne Davis (radiogurl) said, “devastatingly handsome,” dressed all in black when I met him backstage at the Guvernment Night Club in Toronto, Canada on May 14th. I’m talking, of course, of MiG Ayesa!

MiG is as humble and demure as he is talented. For two nights in May, fans in Canada were treated to an incredible show, the ‘After Rockstar Party’ show featuring Suzie McNeil, Tara Slone, Ty Taylor and our own MiG Ayesa! Each night MiG delivered flawless performances of ‘Lola’, his original ~ a personal favourite of mine, ‘Nothing You Do’ and other songs including his now signature tune, ‘Baby I Love Your Way’. “MiG is an amazing performer! He is unbelievably talented and has an enormous amount of energy and charisma,” Toni Talley (2ton) of Toledo Ohio shared with me at the conclusion of our ‘weekend’ adventure.

And what an adventure it was! The day after the Toronto show and in the company of Toni and my best friend Francine, I set off to North Bay, which is a good 400 kilometres (roughly 250 miles) from Hamilton. I didn’t get a backstage pass this time but I didn’t mind because after watching an even more polished performance, I met up with MiG at 100 George’s Dining and Entertainment Lounge. “He appreciates all of his fans and makes everyone feel special”, Tracy Atkinson (trictrax) of Collingwood told me after meeting MiG in Toronto. “MiG has a wonderful way with people and makes everyone feel so very comfortable and at ease”, Toni echoed. I wholeheartedly agree! MiG could not have been more generous and sharing of himself and of his time.

It is my distinct honour and an absolute pleasure to present you with a transcript of my interview with MiG which was conducted, by candlelight, in the wee hours of the morning after the North Bay show. Thank you MiG for taking the time ~ thank you for everything!
